Organizer guide

Work through setup in this order so later screens use the team, roster, access and scoring choices you intended. Players and captains can use the getting started guide.

New organizer checklist

Configure an event

Work in this order so later screens use the team, roster, access, and scoring choices you intended.

  1. 1

    Event details

Dashboard → Start tournament setup → Event details

Set the event name, host, region, timezone and dates. A banner is optional.

  2. 2

    Entry rules and format

    Registration, then Format & rules

Set registration status, passcode requirements and entry dates. Then choose premade or drafted teams and roster limits before inviting participants.

  3. 3

    Staff access

    Staff & roles

Choose default or custom tournament roles and assign people to the work they need to do.

  4. 4

    Teams and captains

    Teams

Assign captains before accepting rosters or drafting. Team branding and Discord resources are optional.

  5. 5

    Participants and rosters

Registration → Signup review, then Players

Review identities, eligibility and roster places. Return as registrations arrive. For drafted events, review the draft settings before opening the queue.

  6. 6

    Competition schedule

Bracket, with the veto order in Format & rules

Build and review the bracket, seeding, match lengths and schedule. Configure map veto if required. Publish when the competition is ready.

  7. 7

    Launch review

    Dashboard / Tournament settings

Review saved-data checks and preview the public event. Confirm registration and visibility. Finishing the setup guide does not publish or start an event.

Team pick sequence

Draft order styles

The draft order decides which team owns the next selection. It does not sort the player pool.

1

Snake

Alternates direction after every round.

Round 1: 1 → 2 → 3 → 4. Round 2: 4 → 3 → 2 → 1.

A familiar draft where teams near either end of the order do not always wait longest.
2

Cycle same order

Repeats the configured team order every round.

Every round: 1 → 2 → 3 → 4.

Events that intentionally give the same team first choice in every round.
3

Random each round

Builds a shuffled team order for each round.

The shuffle is seeded by round, so regenerating unchanged teams produces the same queue instead of rerolling it.

Events that want round-by-round variety instead of a fixed or reversing sequence.
4

Adaptive by team score

Chooses the eligible team with the lowest current drafted-player spend.

Ties use smaller roster size, then the original team draft order.

Balance-focused drafts where the next team changes as player costs are spent.
Adaptive order is live: the next team is recalculated from current drafted-player spend. Its repeat cap stops one team from taking more consecutive choices than configured when another eligible team remains.
Saving Drafting settings or selecting Regenerate draft queue rebuilds unused pick assets. Completed pick assets remain recorded, so settle structural changes before opening the draft whenever possible.
Separate captain setting

Captain player-pool order

This controls how pickable players are presented to captains; it does not change costs or the team queue.

Highest cost first

Shows the pickable pool from highest calculated cost downward.

Shuffle after every pick

Keeps the list stable during the current pick, then changes its order when the next pick begins.

Final checkpoint

Before opening the draft

Confirm every team has the intended captain, the player pool and waitlist are correct, costs are locked, the first several team picks match the chosen style, captain privacy is correct, and a test Discord notification reaches the configured destination.
